We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information on autism spectrum disorders, educational methodologies, treatments, services, research news, resources and conferences. AutismWeb believes that an educated parent is best able to advocate for his or her child.

Terminology

The terms "autism" and "Pervasive Developmental Disorder" are sometimes used interchangeably on this site. Although professionals do distinguish between these two diagnoses, it is not always useful to do so here. That is because the same educational strategies, treatments and interventions will help children with either diagnosis.
